Cate Smierciak is an LA-based filmmaker and co-founder of Wanderkino Productions. She is the writer-director of Mudpots, an award-winning short that premiered at Outfest and has screened at film festivals around the world. Her previous short, Claire, premiered at the Nashville Film Festival and screened at over a dozen international festivals. Her producing credits include the short films The Opportunist, which premiered at Cannes Critics’ Week, Everything & Everything & Everything, starring Shane Carruth, which premiered at TIFF, and My Last Film, directed by Zia Anger, starring Lola Kirke, Rosanna Arquette and Mac DeMarco, which premiered at the New York Film Festival. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and a DAAD Artist Scholar.
Nick Clifford is an award-winning actor, producer and writer who’s appeared in numerous television shows, including starring turns on Glow, Masters of Sex, VEEP, Big Bang Theory and many more. He is the co-founder of Wanderkino Productions and has produced and starred in short films that have gone on to screen at the world’s top film festivals, including Cannes Film Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival, Tribeca and Outfest. He balances his narrative work with branded commercial content, producing national campaigns and social content for clients like GQ, Calvin Klein, Uber, American Express, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a degree in Financial Economics.
